Shannon Michael Wamser, Artistic Director

Shannon Michael Wamser

Shannon Michael Wamser co-founded the company in 2005. In addition to playing Dromio in Stages' 07/08 production of The Comedy of Errors, as an actor he has appeared with The Public Theatre, the Cincinnati Playhouse, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Nevada Shakespeare in the Park, Saratoga Shakespeare Festival, The Vermont Shakespeare Company, The Rebel Theatre Company, The Drilling Company, The Actor's Company Theatre, Techtonic Theatre Project, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, Maine’s Public Theatre, The Monomoy Theatre, Jewish Repertory Theatre among others. His adaptation of Mark Twian's beloved short story, The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Caleveras County, was seen here at Stages, which he directed as well. His directorial work has also been seen with taxdeductible theatre, on the stage of The Profesional Performing Arts School, and for the past four seasons of the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival. His work as a playwright and adapter has been seen with The Putney Players, taxdeductible theatre and here at Stages with his four-actor adaptation of The Comedy of Errors, adapted with is fellow Artistic Director, Will Ditterline. As a theatre educator he currently teaches with The Professional Performing Arts School and has taught with the Shakespeare Society, The Times Square Group and with Putney Student Travel's Theatre in Britain program. He has taught with Brooklyn Friends School, The School at Columbia University and at Ohio University. He holds a BA from DeSales University and an MFA from Ohio University and is a proud member of AEA.
   
Will Ditterline, Artisitic Director
Will Ditterline
Will Ditterline has performed at The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, PA Stage, The Arden Theatre, Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, People’s Light and Theatre Company, and the Bucks and Pocono Playhouses.  In five years with Philadelphia based Duet Productions, Will was featured in over 750 performances for children.  He appeared with Flux Theatre Company in the world premiere of August Schulenburg’s Rue and the NY Premiere of Riding the Bull, winner of the 2007 NY Fringe Audience Favorite Award. Most recently he appeared Off-Broadway as Horse in the NY Premiere of The Grey Area at Barrow Group Theatre. For two years, Will was Production Manager at both the Bucks County and Pocono Playhouses. Will has been a theatre arts instructor at the Summer Institute for the Gifted in Bryn Mar and taught mask and Shakespeare techniques, as well as directing Moliere’s Scapin at Centenary Stage Company’s Young Performer Workshop.  He was an actor and teacher in the inaugural season of the Willpower Tour at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, bringing Shakespeare to high-school age students.  Will directed and produced his own four actor adaptation of Marlowe’s Dr. Faustus at PA Stage.  For Stages, he co-adapted and directed a four-actor version of Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors and directed the remount of Hawthorne’s The Birthmark.  He was commissioned by The Nature Conservancy to create and perform an original one-man puppet show for children titled A Nut in a Tree that talked about the importance of conservation.  Other puppetry credits include design and construction for Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, Punch and Judy for the Orlando and Philadelphia Fringe, Max in Hollywood, Baby! with Brat Productions, and the parrot in Burning Botticelli for the NY Fringe.  Will is the author of Good King Wenceslas, a play for children that premiered at Stages in 2007 and is currently working on The Wise People, an original holiday tale also premiering at Stages in 2008.

   
Robert Choiniere, Managing Director
Robert Choiniere is currently the Director of Pastoral Planning for the Diocese of Brooklyn.  In this position, he is responsible for developing and implementing strategic planning processes for the 217 parishes in the Diocese of Brooklyn.  He has been a pastoral minister within the Catholic Church for seven years ministering in the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, West Virginia and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.  In his role as a Diocesan leader, he has been involved in the development of two non-profit organizations: The Gabriel Project, a non-profit inter-denominational support service for pregnant women in need and Justice Works, a non-profit educational consortium of Catholic colleges and religious orders in the Philadelphia area dedicated to teaching and promoting Catholic Social Teaching.  He holds an MA in Pastoral Ministry and a post graduate certificate in Leadership Development from Boston College.  He also holds a BA in Theology from DeSales University in Center Valley, PA. and has been involved in community theatre the entire time.
   

Amy Barrow, Director of Development and Marketing

Amy Sabin Barrow holds both a BA and Masters from the University of Arkansas where she studied dance, voice, microbiology and health care business of all things. She has choreographed here and abroad with the Universal Dance Association, The UA Dance Troupe, and multiple competetive dance teams. She continues that work here in NYC with Stages on the Sound, Tax Deductible Theatre, New Dance Group, The Vineyard Playhouse and a few lucky New York schools. As a performer, Amy's recent work was seen at the Public Theatre, a few exquisite DARE projects, the Vineyard Playhouse, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre and Huntington High School. Amy has two indie films in production that you probably will never see-Mow Crew and Ashes in a Shaker.
   

Scott Barrow, Director of Education

Scott Barrow

Scott Barrow is a graduate of the University of Richmond and Brandeis's MFA in Acting program. He has taught, performed, or been the fight director at numerous theatres across the country including Trinity Repertory, Hartford Stage, Arkansas Repertory, New Repertory, The Vineyard Playhouse, Shakespeare and Company, Tectonic Theatre Project, Castle Shakespeare Rep, the North Shore Music Theatre, and the Geva theatre Center. Scott has taught with Brandeis University, UMASS Boston, and continues to work as a guest artist with the Brooklyn Academy of Music and New York's Shakespeare Society. Favorite roles include Puck, Benedick, and Henry Lee/Helmut in the premier of Paul Rudnick's "Valhalla" at the New York Theatre Workshop.

Liz Dailey is a graduate of the DeSales University Theatre Program. As an actor, she has worked with the Requited Theatre Company and Theater for the New City in New York. Regionally, she has worked with The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Orlando-UCF Shakespeare Fesitval, Porthouse Theatre Comapny in Ohio, and Duet Productions Children's Theatre in Philadelphia. In the business world, Liz has also worked in sales and she is currently a motivational speaker for Weight Watchers.

   
Anita M. King. Director of Publicity Anita M. King, Director of Marketing and Publicity, has an extensive background in the field of arts marketing.  Ms. King began her career with a series of internships while in college and progressed to hold positions in the marketing departments of such world renowned companies as Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and New York City Ballet. In addition to working with not for profit performance companies, Ms. King has done freelance work for Dance Critics Association in New York, New York and King Orthodontics in Wexford, Pennsylvania. A native of Pennsylvania, Ms. King holds a BA in Dance with a focus on technical theater and administration from De Sales University.
