Stages on the Sound, Inc., provides an array of arts education programs for schools, after-school programs and community outreach organization. Below are some of our current and past programs but we are able to work with your school or organization to develop an customized educational experience for any age group. We also work with school administrators to complement curriculum.
In addition to opportunities below, residencies, joint productions, workshops, summer camps and after-school programs can be tailored to fit any school or educational program.
PERFORMING ARTS RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Our most popular residency offering is our 16 week in-school arts residency program.
It provides three separate curricula for various grades including:
Stages provides two teaching artist for one class period per grade each week. The residency also includes free admission to current Stages productions and a final performance component for students and parents. All curricula are based on NYS Blueprint for the Arts and enhances the ELA Common Core Curriculum.

Stages on the Sound bring exciting Shakespeare Tours to the schools. These shows introduce students to the Bard in a fun and innovative way. If you're interested in bringing one of our shows to your school - contact us!
SHAKESPEARE IN ACTION
A one-day residency which includes a 45 minutes Intro to Shakespeare performance for grades 5-10 as well as a series of workshops for individual grades. Four teaching artist/actors come directly to your school.
Stages produces an annual original Christmas production for students in grades 1-5. Study guides and lesson plans are also made available to teachers for use before and after the performance.
