PERFORMING ARTS EDUCATION
Spring 2021 School Programs

.
Stages programs are now designed for virtual, in-person and hybrid learning models for students on every grade level.
Each 10-week program builds on a chronological curriculum that culminates in a final class project.
Each week students learn performing arts skills through games and exercises taught by experienced Teaching Artists. Teaching Artists then help students apply these skills and lessons to create a collaborative final performance.
-
Lower Grade Bands (Grades 3-4) create a virtual class performance of a classic fairy tale, fable or myth. Learning includes theatrical vocabulary, acting for the camera, story structure and collaboration techniques.
-
Middle Grade Bands (Grades 5-6) create an original class play. Learning includes improvisation and playwriting skills, as well as rehearsal and performance techniques.
-
Upper Grade Bands (Grades 7-8) focus on the works of William Shakespeare and culminates in a class performance of the Bard. Learning includes textual analysis, character development, and rehearsal and performance techniques.
(Programs are flexible. Please contact us to find a program for your students)
